The next departure from FC Bayern is taking shape. Alexander Nübel is expected to leave the record champions for Turkey shortly. Besiktas has now confirmed an agreement.
The top club from the Süper Lig had been interested in the Bayern goalkeeper for quite some time. Nübel, most recently on loan to VfB Stuttgart, was not signed permanently by the Swabians.
The goalkeeper himself no longer has a future at FC Bayern—that was already clear—as the record champions are heading into the new season with a goalkeeping squad consisting of Sven Ulreich, Manuel Neuer, and Jonas Urbig.
Beşiktaş has now officially announced: Alexander Nübel will travel to Istanbul tonight to undergo medical exams, after which the transfer will be officially confirmed.
The medical exam is therefore the final hurdle before the deal can be finalized. According to the club, Nübel is scheduled to land in Istanbul at 7:45 p.m.

FC Bayern will receive a guaranteed sum of around 6.5 million euros for the national team player. An additional five million euros in unspecified bonus payments may be added.
In addition, Bayern and the player’s side have agreed on a compensation payment. At Bayern, the national team goalkeeper would have continued to earn around 6 million euros per season—excluding bonuses.
Since his salary at Besiktas is expected to be lower, Bayern is compensating for this with a payment. For the record champions, however, it is still important to have clarity on this personnel matter now. Previously, players such as Leon Goretzka and Raphael Guerreiro, whose contracts were expiring, had already been transferred.
But they are far from finished on the selling front. Sacha Boey, João Palhinha, and Bryan Zaragoza are also expected to leave FC Bayern this summer.
