MIAMI — The Final Round of Men’s World Cup Qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026 highlights This Week in Concacaf.
The third and fourth matchdays in the Concacaf Qualifiers will intensify as 12 nations compete for their chance to qualify for next year’s FIFA World Cup.
Additionally, Mexico and the United States Under-20 national teams will participate in the Knockout Round of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup
The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues on Thursday and Friday, as part of the October FIFA international match window.
Suriname leads Group A and will defend its standing against fourth place Guatemala, who needs a victory to narrow the gap to the top spot. El Salvador will host Panama as both nations aspire to solidify their place among the top two.
Jamaica, leaders in Group B, will travel to second place Curaçao, who seeks to take the top spot for itself. Bermuda will seek to earn its first points when it hosts Trinidad and Tobago.
Honduras stands atop Group C and seeks to strengthen its lead when it hosts second place Costa Rica, who will vie for first place. Nicaragua will host Haiti as both sides look to avoid being left in the bottom half of the table.
The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers will determine the region’s remaining participants in the FIFA World Cup 2026, joining co-hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The three group winners will clinch direct berths, and the two best second place teams will advance to the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.

FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025
The FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025 continues as two Concacaf nations remain among the final 16, both with hopes of winning the tournament for the first time.
Mexico will meet Chile in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, and would play in the Quarterfinals on Saturday if it advances past the host nation.
The United States will face Italy in the Round of 16 on Thursday. If the U.S. advances, The Stars and Stripes would play in its Quarterfinals tie on Sunday.
