Michael Carrick has ruled out Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt for Manchester United’s Premier League visit of Leeds United to Old Trafford on Monday night. Lisandro Martinez is available again, while Harry Maguire serves a one-match suspension.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Diogo Dalot is expected to be available after illness, having stayed behind while the squad trained in Dublin this week. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton was also unwell and did not make the trip.

Danish winger Dorgu, 21, has been sidelined since a hamstring injury in January’s 3-2 win at Arsenal. He travelled to Dublin as part of his rehabilitation but remains out for Monday.

Centre-back de Ligt is still working back from a back problem and did not travel. He is not yet back on the grass with the group.

Speaking on Saturday, Carrick said Dorgu has returned to individual outdoor work but not with the team, and that de Ligt remains in treatment and rehab. He added the group are otherwise in good shape.
