Michael is no longer a Flamengo player after terminating his contract on Friday 30. He is now free to sign for Saudi club Al-Ula.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo reached a mutual agreement with the forward, reflecting their good relationship in recent years. As a result, the club will not receive a fee from the Saudi side.
The expectation is that Michael will travel later on Friday to Saudi Arabia. The country is familiar to him, as he recently played in the Saudi league with Al Hilal.
He had even accepted a move to Santos for this season. However, Flamengo declined to pay a seven-figure sum prior to terminating his deal, so the São Paulo club stepped back and ended their pursuit.
Flamengo now turn to the Supercopa do Brasil against Corinthians on Sunday 1 at Mané Garrincha. Kick-off is at 16:00 Brasília time.
