Inter Milan newcomer Petar Sucic could reportedly leapfrog Hakan Calhanoglu in the pecking order at San Siro.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Cristian Chivu is considering a comprehensive midfield overhaul.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been the midfield anchor since swapping AC Milan for Inter in the summer of 2021.
However, the Turkish could soon fall out of favor, with Petar Sucic emerging as a viable contender for the starting berth.

Sucic impressed on his Serie A debut against Torino and looked decent against Udinese last time out.
Meanwhile, Calhanoglu had to skip the opening-day clash due to suspension.
Yet, his showing against the Friulian club was far from convincing.
Furthermore, the 31-year-old failed to impress in Turkey’s humiliating 6-0 home loss to Spain last night.
Therefore, he risks losing his starting position at San Siro.
In addition to Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan could drop out of Inter’s starting XI in favor of Andy Diouf.
Indeed, the French youngster could inject energy and strength into the Nerazzurri midfield.
Needless to say, Nicolo Barella has a guaranteed place in the engine room.
