Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has shared thoughts on the heated Betway Premiership title race.
The defending champions beat Sekhukhune United last Sunday, while log leaders Orlando Pirates eased past rivals Kaizer Chiefs a day before.
Sundowns are level on 41 points with the Buccaneers, who have a superior goal difference, with 12 league matches remaining for both teams.
When pressed on whether securing a win over Babina Noko was vital for their title defense, Cardoso suggested the race is far from over despite both champions-elect winning over the weekend.
“The match of Pirates changes nothing, the match we played today [Sunday] changes nothing - both teams will fight hard. I don't want to put no one out of this competition in terms of how they can arrive and fight together with Pirates and us,” said the Downs mentor.
"There are a lot of championship matches to play, some of them or most of them very tricky. It looks like the matches become simple but look we're going to play Orbit College and they changed the venue - they are taking us again to a smaller stadium because they say there's an event on the bigger one.
"So, there are a lot of resources that are being put on the table in order to obviously try to get points from us. We will continue to do our best, we hope every time we play matches the three teams are the best ones, are always on the high level and that we can be better than the other ones.
"Let's see [what happens in the end]. It will be beautiful to see, I think South Africa is going to enjoy of course, this championship. So, let's keep on scoring points and in the end if we arrive in a position that allows us to get the first position on the table we congratulate ourselves, if not we have to congratulate the opponent - it's what it is.
Sundowns return to action with a visit from Golden Arrows at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, while Pirates will be at Peter Mokaba Stadium to face Polokwane City, with both games scheduled for Wednesday.
