Mikel Goti targeted as Córdoba eye third winter addition | OneFootball

Córdoba have set their sights on Real Sociedad attacking midfielder Mikel Goti as they look to make a third winter addition for the Liga Hypermotion run-in. According to AS, the window has already brought in striker Diego Percan and right-back Trilli on loan.

Goti is a left-footed creator who can operate as an interior or off the striker, a profile that suits Ania.

A product of Athletic Bilbao’s academy, Goti joined Real Sociedad’s B team in 23-24 and impressed immediately. He became central to Sergio Francisco’s plans in a side that went on to win promotion to Segunda División.

His impact showed in the numbers. In his first year he played 31 league matches, starting 29, and scored three times. Last season he again featured in 31 games, starting all, and hit 13, which earned a first-team promotion.

This season the club extended his deal to 2028 and handed him a senior squad number. Even so, La Liga opportunities have been limited.

He has appeared in four league games, debuting as a starter on matchday four against Real Madrid, and scored in early Copa del Rey ties against Negreira and Reus.

At the campaign’s midpoint, Real Sociedad believe he needs minutes and view Segunda as a useful pathway, with interest from several clubs, including some abroad. Córdoba’s move appeals to player and club, given Ania’s style and a first team three points off the play-off.
