Paulo Fonseca said Milan lost 69% of aerial duels against Cagliari, but the Rossoneri have also conceded the most goals in the opening five minutes in Serie A since 2022-23.
Milan were held to a 3-3 draw by Serie A strugglers Cagliari on Saturday, just four days after beating Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Champions League.
Fonseca was irritated by his players’ attitude, saying they were not aggressive enough and lost 69% of aerial duels in Sardinia.

Opta on X, formerly Twitter, highlighted even more alarming stats suggesting that the Rossoneri don’t enter the field with the appropriate attitude.
The Diavoli, in fact, has conceded ten goals in the opening five minutes of play in Serie A since 2022-23, more than any other team in the league.
In Cagliari, Nadir Zortea opened the account for the Sardinians after just two minutes.
The Rossoneri will host direct rivals Juventus at San Siro after the international break on November 23.
