After a dismal Serie A season which has seen them miss out on European football, Milan are already looking towards next season. There are expected to be many outgoings and ingoings in terms of players and a new manager is expected to come in as well. The first order of business however is to bring in a sporting director. Milan were in negotiations with Fabio Paratici but that deal fell through. Now it does seem that they have made positive progress in bringing in Igli Tare, as per calciomercato.com . The former Lazio man has had some meetings with board members such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and CEO Giorgio Furlani, according to reports. Tare’s CV at Lazio makes for quite some reading. He signed Luis Alberto on a cheap deal and he became a crucial cog in the manager Simone Inzaghi’s system. Sergej Milinkovic – Savic was also signed by him and sold for a good fee. Miroslav Klose arrived on free and established himself in Lazio folklore. However the best signing of his in Rome has been Ciro Immobile, who left as one of the best strikers to play in Serie A.
