Milan have still not managed to arrange a new contract extension for the expiring Mike Maignan, and the latest updates claim that the Rossoneri are looking to settle the issue in face-to-face talks with the player’s agent in the coming weeks.
If he does not agree to a contract extension, Maignan will be available as a free agent at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. He will be free to negotiate with other clubs from January onwards if a new contract in San Siro does not materialise.
According to recent updates, Milan have offered Maignan a net salary of around €7m including bonuses. It is thought that around €5.5m will be guaranteed and the rest paid in bonuses.

If that €7m-per-season figure is accurate, the Frenchman would effectively be level with Rafael Leao as the club’s highest earner.
Milan are hoping to tie the stopper down to a three-and-a-half year contract with an option to extend, which would run until either 2029 or 2030.
Despite the reported contract offer, there has not yet been an agreement. According to updates from Tuttosport and TMW, Milan are now hoping to settle the matter in face-to-face talks with Maignan’s agent, Jonathan Kebe.
It has been reported that Milan have ‘officially requested’ a meeting with Kebe and that Maignan be present.
