Milford unbeaten streak ended, Baroka woes continue

Motsepe Foundation Championship log leaders Milford FC saw their six-game unbeaten run come to an end after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kruger United on Wednesday afternoon.
The Stallions remain at the summit of the second-tier standings, having accumulated 19 points from nine league outings.
Meanwhile, second-placed Casric Stars narrowed the gap to one point after playing to a 1-1 draw with Venda FC at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on the same day.
Elsewhere, Upington City made it back-to-back wins under Musa Nyatama and currently sit in position three, having played one game less than the top two teams.
Like the Citizens, Hungry Lions also recorded two wins on the trot with a victory over Highbury. Ditau Dia Rora moved to fifth place and one point behind fourth-placed Highbury, who have 15 points.
In the middle of the pack, University of Pretoria thumped Leicesterford City 5-0 to climb to eighth place with 12 points, while the newly rebranded side sits in seventh place.
Gomora United and The Bees FC played to a one-all draw as Cape Town City's clash with Lerumo Lions got postponed.
In Thohoyandou, relegation-threatened Black Leopards settled for a 1-1 draw with newly promoted Midland Wanderers and are two points clear of bottom-placed Baroka, who have amassed four points.
