The two sides meet at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening.
Leicester City recorded an excellent 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the reverse fixture and manager Miquel is plotting another surprise for The Blues in South West London.
“We have to try to give them some trouble,” Miquel said when speaking in the pre-match press conference. “Myself and Sonia Bompastor like to challenge each other, so we are going to try and prepare something that she doesn’t expect.
“Against those type of teams, you can prepare whatever you want but if they’re on a good day, it’s a hard game.”
Commenting on the qualities that her side must show at Kingsmeadow, Miquel highlighted aggression and execution as key attributes.
She said “We need to have intensity, be really aggressive out of possession and have a lot of efficiency because you might only get one or two breaks to get through to their goal. You have to have the perfect game to beat those kind of teams.
“They have maybe been under-performing a bit recently but at some point, they will wake up. Hopefully, that isn’t against us and they remain a bit unwell for longer.”
Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon but Miquel says that this result has no significance going into Wednesday’s game.
She said “No, not for me, it doesn’t make any difference. Any team that takes points off the leaders are always happy, so I am happy for Brighton. If we can do it again, I’ll be happy also but there’s not an aim in the season or goal in life to take points off Chelsea. We need points and if it’s against Chelsea then good.”
Leicester City’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture at Chelsea kicks-off at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening.
