Gleison Bremer, who’s been out since early October due to an ACL tear, has been one of the few Juventus players to bid Thiago Motta farewell publicly. He also spoke about the timetable for his return in an interview with Sky.
“I like to resume talking and feeling like a player again. The last few months have been rough, especially the first ones. Everything is going well now. I’ve started running. There are still ways to go, though. I’d like to play right away, but you have to respect the timetable. It may be possible for the Club World Cup, but not as a regular starter. I think it’s better not to rush things. I want to come back to feature all the time and avoid other physical problems. I’m taking it slowly.”
Bremer addressed the coaching change and the Juventus season.
“It has been an unfortunate campaign because there have been a few injuries besides mine. I’m sorry for Thiago Motta, as I think he’s good coach. It looked like we could do great things at the beginning, but then it went as it went.” “I’ve seen Igor Tudor on Wednesday and chatted with him. I was pleased by his compliments while he was helming Lazio last year. He asked me how I felt and whether I could return. Unfortunately, it’s still early. However. I’m here to support the team. I hope we’ll be able to qualify for the Champions League. We haven’t discussed whether we’ll play with a three-man defense, but he generally uses it. I think that will be the case.”
