According to L'Équipe, Ghana have named their World Cup squad on Tuesday, with Mohammed Kudus omitted due to a quadriceps injury. Jordan Ayew is included among a strong Ligue 1 contingent.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz has called up Kojo Peprah Oppong of Nice, Alidu Seidu of Rennes and Lyon’s Ernest Nuamah, who managed only 32 minutes this season after an anterior cruciate ligament rupture in April 2025. Auxerre’s Marvin Senaya, Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu also feature.
Manchester City winger Antoine Semenyo is selected. Ayew, 34 and now at Leicester, could surpass his brother André’s Ghana caps record during the tournament, with André on 120 and Jordan on 117.
The Black Stars will be in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
They play Wales in Cardiff on Tuesday at 20:45 in their final warm-up.
