Monaco hopeful on Eric Dier and Krépin Diatta, Paul Pogba not ready for Lyon

AS Monaco could welcome players back when they face Olympique Lyonnais, but Paul Pogba will not feature despite returning to first-team training.

According to Get French Football News, Pogba trained with the group throughout the week but he is not fit for the match, having not played since the fifth of December.

Sébastien Pocognoli said setting a return date depends on the next two weeks, adding that it is about getting back into rhythm.

The Monaco manager added that Eric Dier, Krépin Diatta and Pape Cabral have trained with the first team again this week and could be included in the matchday squad if all goes well.

Final selections will hinge on those last checks, with some players potentially cleared to play if everything proceeds as planned.
