AS Monaco head to Belgium on Thursday a little depleted. Denis Zakaria is the latest to succumb to injury as they prepare to open their UEFA Champions League campaign against Club Brugge.
Zakaria suffered an adductor injury in training on Wednesday morning and will miss several weeks, according to his manager, Adi Hutter. It comes just after it was announced that Aleksandr Golovin, who missed Monaco’s 2-1 win over AJ Auxerre over the weekend, will miss around a month’s worth of action. Mohammed Salisu played in that win but picked up a minor niggle and is out, too, whilst Lukas Hradecky is also out for several weeks after injuring his knee against RC Strasbourg Alsace, just before the international break. Paul Pogba is not yet fit, whilst Krépin Diatta and Paris Brunner are ineligible.
