Sky Germany reports that Monaco have reached an agreement to sign Lukas Hradecky from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee that totals €4m. A medical examination hasn’t been completed but die Werkself will give the green light once a replacement for the 35-year-old has been found.
Hradecky’s impending move to Monaco comes less than two weeks after the Finn discussed his future at the Bundesliga club following the signing of Mark Flekken. Speaking exclusively to Rheinische Post, Hradecky was questioned about his future, to which he replied: “I’m definitely thinking about it. That’s no secret. But at the same time, it has to be something very concrete and very interesting for me to consider leaving this club after so many wonderful and successful years.”
It would now appear that Hradecky has received an enticing offer from the Principality club.
Hradecky arrived at Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018. During his seven years at the club, the 35-year-old has made 286 appearances across all competitions, and is now a Bundesliga and German Cup champion. Under Xabi Alonso, die Werkself went a full domestic campaign unbeaten in the 2023/24 season, also remaining unbeaten in Europe until their Europa League final defeat against Atalanta in Dublin.
