Forward has been in inconsistent form this term
The forward, 23, has agreed a six-year deal until 2031, with a significantly increased salary.
Rogers, the former Manchester City attacker, had previously been on a contract that expired in 2030, but he has been rewarded for his hot streak of form from last term, where he notched 14 goals in all competitions, adding 16 assists as Villa narrowly missed out on a top-four finish by three points.
Rogers featured in all but one of Unai Emery’s side’s Premier League games, and he was awarded the PFA Young Player of the Year prize back in August.
Now, The Athletic report that the England international has agreed to fresh terms to reflect his importance to the club.
The report details that Rogers has been the subject of interest elsewhere, from the Premier League and abroad, but the player’s relationship with Emery has been key to his remaining at Villa Park.
The news comes just hours after it was revealed that Rogers had been omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s most recent England squad.
The Three Lions take on Serbia and Albania in their final World Cup qualifiers, but Rogers will play not part in them.
Tuchel, who has picked the forward regularly in his time at the helm, outlined that Rogers had just not been good enough to make the squad this time around.
“Myles [Lewis-Skelly], Ruben [Loftus-Cheek] and Morgan got outperformed by Nico O'Reilly, Alex Scott, Nick Pope and Jude [Bellingham] in their positions,” the German said at his squad announcement press conference on Friday.
