José Mourinho’s brief trip to Italy was for commercial duties with Prima Assicurazioni, not linked to any Real Madrid exit. According to Glorioso 1904, the Benfica head coach travelled as an ambassador for the Italian insurer.

He is the new face of a campaign designed to deepen the company’s market reach, targeting a clearly defined audience for a growing European brand.

The plan carries an advertising spend of eight million euros, with five and a half million on television and two and a half million on radio, underscoring the scale of the investment in Mourinho’s profile.

The campaign is aimed at men aged 30 to 60, often the family’s financial decision-makers, aligning with the coach’s influence and recognition.

The deal follows Patrick Dempsey’s stint and runs for an initial 18 months, with an option to extend to 20 months, and is focused for now on the Italian market.

Mourinho returned to Portugal the same night, landing in Tires, and then returned to Benfica.
