David Moyes has hinted Carlos Alcaraz could start for Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Wednesday's 245th encounter with Liverpool will be the final one played at Goodison Park before the Toffees relocate to a new home at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Alcaraz made his debut in last weekend's FA Cup fourth round exit to Bournemouth after joining on loan from Flamengo and impressed during that cameo appearances.
But Moyes remains tight-lipped on whether the Argentine will be begin the clash despite admitting that prior Premier League experience does strengthen his case.
"He did enough by his performances to start the game. Whether I do [start him] that's another thing," said Moyes.
"Sometimes when you bring people in, you never know how long it's going to take to settle.
"I've got to say he's started and settled very well in the game. It was only one game, mind you. The other thing we have to put on his side is that he's got Premier League experience so he's not completely new to this.
"He knows exactly what it's like. From that point of view, that helps us but the decision will be made tomorrow on whether he starts."
The Everton manager also expects Arne Slot's side to be a formidable opponent as he seeks to create another enjoyable derby memory against their local rivals.
He added: "I've got a couple of derby memories.
"I'll always remember Lee Carsley's goal when we won here, and Andy Johnson.
"But it's always been tough as I've said, over the years, Liverpool have always been tough opponents.
"Of course we want to win. But let's put it in perspective. The most important thing is we get points to stay in the Premier League. It's a big game.
"Let's hope the players are ready."
Everton and Liverpool are tied on 41 victories apiece in clashes at Goodison.
