MP-SP has given Corinthians 48 hours to deliver the full Ernst & Young audit and other documents. A 10-day deadline had lapsed after prosecutors visited Parque São Jorge on 12 March.
According to Meu Timao, prosecutor Cássio Conserino also demanded minutes of the 23 March meeting that approved the provisional removal of Romeu Tuma Jr., president of the Conselho Deliberativo. He said the move may have breached the club’s Statute and internal rules.
Although 115 councillors backed the motion, club figures deemed the session irregular. The CD’s Comissão de Justiça, vice-president Leonardo Pantaleão, first secretary Maria Ângela Ocampos and Tuma say the call issued by club president Osmar Stabile was invalid. They cite article 82, II, b, which reserves convening powers to the Council president.
Members have also filed a complaint over the convocation, which Conserino sent to the Promotoria de Justiça do Patrimônio Público e Social that is weighing possible judicial intervention at Corinthians. Prosecutors asked for the EY audit in full, with annexes and source documents, noting potential links to criminal probes into spending by former presidents Andrés Sanchez, Duilio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo, and possible tax issues.
MP-SP stressed the club is treated as a victim in those cases, saying there is no reason to withhold the complete report. The office also asked for minutes of the Conselho de Orientação meeting of 25 November 2024 that reference the EY report, giving five days to submit them.
