Munetsi Paris FC move fading as Villa monitor Gakpo’s Liverpool future | OneFootball

Marshall Munetsi’s proposed permanent switch from Wolves to Paris FC is fading after his loan in France, and Wolves are likely to look for alternative suitors this summer.

Villa are monitoring Cody Gakpo’s situation at Liverpool. According to Teamtalk, Liverpool are not actively seeking to sell at present, though that could change later in the summer.

The Netherlands international’s future is in some doubt after Arne Slot’s exit from Anfield and uncertainty over his role under new Reds boss Andoni Iraola. Villa are among several clubs credited with interest, alongside Tottenham, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Munetsi was deemed surplus to requirements by Rob Edwards before heading out for the second half of the season. Paris-based reports suggest the chances of a permanent deal are now slim.

The 29-year-old remains under contract at Molineux for another two years.
