TSG Hoffenheim appear set to strengthen their ranks with the addition of Sean Dulic, as the Bundesliga club looks to capitalize on the uncertain situation surrounding TSV 1860 Munich.

The 21-year-old center-back is regarded as one of 1860's brightest academy products. A Munich native, Dulic has been with the club since childhood and recently established himself in the first team after making his professional breakthrough during the 2024/25 season. His performances earned him a contract extension last year as the club sought to secure one of its most promising young players.

However, 1860 Munich's financial crisis has dramatically altered the picture. The club was denied a license for the 2026/27 3. Liga season after failing to provide the required financial guarantees, forcing the former Bundesliga side into the Bavarian Regionalliga. Reports suggest the crisis could even threaten the club's long-term future if additional funding is not secured.

Against that backdrop, Hoffenheim have reportedly moved quickly to secure Dulic's services. Because of 1860's licensing issues, the defender could leave on a free transfer, giving the Kraichgau club the opportunity to add a highly rated prospect without paying a fee.

Sky Germany report that a medical has already been planned for Wednesday and that Dulic is set to sign a contract with Hoffenheim until June 2031. Schalke 04 was also interested in the 21-year-old, but Hoffenheim proposed the better offer.
