Nottingham Forest defender Murillo is attracting significant interest from several elite European clubs.
Details: A report from CaughtOffside indicates that both Chelsea and Arsenal are actively monitoring the 23-year-old centre-back.
Chelsea's interest dates back to the summer, with new manager Enzo Maresca reportedly identifying the Brazilian as a key defensive target. Maresca is said to particularly value defenders capable of initiating attacks from deep, a quality Murillo has consistently demonstrated at Forest.
Arsenal are also showing a strong interest. Manager Mikel Arteta has long been an admirer of Murillo's progressive playing style and his ability to carry the ball through midfield lines. The Gunners view him as a potential reinforcement for their central defense, capable of competing with and complementing the established partnership of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães.
Any potential transfer is likely to be complex due to Forest's substantial valuation of the player. The club is "valuing him at €80–90 million" and is prepared to consider serious offers that approach this asking price.
This season, Murillo has made twelve appearances for Nottingham Forest, scoring one goal against Liverpool. His current market value on Transfermarkt is listed at €55 million.
