Lampard is the top scorer in Chelsea’s history.

“I watch that back more than probably any other goal. It’s the one that gets me now, even years later.”

It was a huge moment in Chelsea’s history and was the start of a glittering period in the club’s history which saw them win multiple league titles as well as many other trophies.

It’s not only as a player Lampard had an impact, he’s also had two separate spells as manager including one as interim boss at the end of the disastrous 2022/2023 campaign.

Lampard has been spotted at Stamford Bridge watching Chelsea on occasion since he left the club at the end of that season, and recently praised Pedro Neto for his form.

If Lampard does get the job theres’s a chance a number of Chelsea’s youngsters could head there on loan given his connections with the Blues, as was the case when he took charge at Derby County.
