At La Beaujoire on Sunday afternoon, Nantes midfielder Démène Tabibou was sent off on 65 minutes, and Brest captain Brendan Chardonnet equalised in the sixth minute of added time.
According to L'Équipe, Chardonnet earned a seven, led by example and dealt with key moments, notably a Leroux effort on 50 minutes.
Mostafa Mohamed received a six. Back in the starting line-up for the first time since seven February, he opened the scoring on nine minutes, his fourth of the season, then made way for Abline on 77 minutes.
Francis Coquelin also got a six, anchoring a four-three-three and winning the ball for the opener. Injured, he went off at half-time, with Leroux busy from 46 minutes, booked on 56, and threatening with a shot and a header.
Daouda Guindo struggled at left-back and was rated three. A poor pass led to the opener and he was booked for a tackle from behind on Tabibou on 41. Lala replaced him on 67 at right-back, pushing Zogbé left.
Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe also scored three as he toiled in an advanced central role in Doumbia’s absence. He failed to spark Brest and was beaten by Coquelin before the opener, then made way for Makalou later on.
Tabibou was given four. Operating down the right, he showed intent but wasteful end product on a usually silky left foot.
