Napoli have officially confirmed the extent of the injury suffered by centre-back Amir Rrahmani during the international break, but initial reports indicate that he is not expected to sit on the sidelines for a significant period of time.
Rrahmani withdrew from the Kosovo national team camp over the weekend after coming down with a reported muscular injury. He will not be involved for his nation’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Sweden on Monday night.
Napoli have since provided an update, confirming that Rrahmani has suffered a “low-grade injury to the femoral biceps of his right thigh.” The club have also confirmed that the player has already begun his rehabilitation work.

As things stand, the 31-year-old is expected to miss out on Napoli’s upcoming Serie A match against Fiorentina this coming weekend, but could be in line to return to the squad for the first round of 2025-26 Champions League, which, for Napoli, falls against Manchester City on September 18.
Rrahmani has played as a starter in both of Napoli’s first two Serie A matches of the season, both alongside Juan Jesus. Antonio Conte could be minded to replace both of them with Alessandro Buongiorno, who is nearing a return to full fitness, and summer signing Sam Beukema.
