Italian giants Napoli are one of the clubs reportedly showing interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goreztka in the January window.
The 30-year-old joined Bayern from Schalke in the summer of 2018 and has made over 285 appearances for the club, scoring 46 goals.
Goretzka has a contract at Bayern until the end of the season, and several clubs, including Atletico Madrid, are keen to lure him away.

According to a report from TuttomercatoWeb, Napoli have made the Bayern midfielder their top January target.
The Serie A champions currently sit third in the table after 15 matches, with 31 points, one behind second-placed AC Milan and two behind leaders Inter Milan.
Napoli are currently missing some of their key players like Kevin De Bruyne, Billy Gilmour, and Frank Anguissa, and Antonio Conte’s side are short of options in the middle of the park.
To sustain their challenge in the Scudetto, they need a quality midfield, and Goreztka could be an ideal candidate.
Bayern Munich aren’t, as things currently stand, planning with Leon Goretzka for the 2026/27 season. He’s got a very high salary, and they want to mix things up a bit with the squad. There were rumours aplenty flying about this week as Goretzka was spotted deleting photos associated with Bayern Munich from his Instagram account. So, everybody was wondering if something had happened, but in the end, he’s just not a big fan of social media. So, it’s not the reason why he took such drastic action on his socials.
He’s not playing so well this season – as Serge Gnabry, for instance – to justify a new contract. Goretzka has a market too; he’s very highly-rated in Istanbul. Galatasaray wants him, Fenerbahçe wants him. Those aren’t his first-choice clubs. But then there are also Italian clubs following him; there’s Juventus and Napoli, who are both interested in him. So, he has big chances. If you’re a free agent like Leon, you can get a salary like his Bayern salary. He’ll also have about €17m (£14.9m) gross because he’ll also get a signing fee – Bayern Munich won’t pay that again. I think both sides will shake hands and say goodbye in the summer.
Goreztka is behind Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic in the pecking order, but he is still a valued member of Vincent Kompany’s side.
The midfielder has made 14 appearances in the Bundesliga, including 12 starts, but has made only five substitute Champions League appearances.
Bayern are reluctant to lose him in January, and rightly so. Unless Napoli or any potential suitor come up with a tempting offer, Goreztka is likely to stay in Bayern and become a free agent next summer.
