Napoli might have lost a couple of star players in Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the last few months but they still are involved in the Serie A title race.
While they might be just a point off top spot in the league, they have scored only 45 goals, an average of less than 2 a game. It is this no secret that they are in the market for a new forward and names like Igor Paixao of Feyenoord and Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United have been discussed. As per TMW (via areanapoli.it), Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo is a name that is doing the rounds in Naples. The Ghanian winger has had a couple of very solid years with Bournemouth. This season, he has 14 goal contributions across all competitions for the Cherries. However, it is believed that Bournemouth will be looking for a fee of at least €40-€50m to sell him this summer. It has to be kept in mind that he is really versatile and can play anywhere across the front line. Although the two clubs have a good relationship, given the recent deals involving Phillip Billing and Hamed Traore, a discount is unlikely. If something does happen then it is most likely come through the guile of sporting director Giovanni Manna. English clubs like Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring the situation as well and the price tag is likely to be the same for them.
