Under contract with AC Milan until 2028, Adrien Rabiot (31) is reportedly being targeted by SSC Napoli, and in particular by their new manager Massimiliano Allegri, according to information from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
A keen admirer of the French midfielder, whom he managed at Juventus and later at the Rossoneri, the 58-year-old technician would be keen to reunite with his protégé once again.
Although this move looks set to be difficult – as Rabiot is considered a key part of Ruben Amorim’s squad and the project led by RedBird – it might not be impossible, given that the prospect of playing in the Champions League with the Azzurri could influence the Saint-Maurice native’s decision.
Whilst, for the time being, Rabiot seems fully committed to playing for Milan, the saga surrounding a potential transfer could continue throughout the summer.
Having put in some excellent performances for the French national team since the start of the World Cup, Rabiot has confirmed the excellent form he showed last season, during which he made 32 appearances, scored six goals and provided five assists.
