As Napoli have still not got an agreement in place with Manchester United over a deal for Alejandro Garnacho, the Partenopei have returned to Dortmund to re-establish contact with four-time Germany international Karim Adeyemi according to Wednesday’s reports.
Napoli are on the market for a new forward in the January transfer window to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in a €70m deal over the weekend.
While Garnacho has been the firm favourite, Napoli are yet to convince United after the latest meeting between the two clubs on Tuesday. Napoli’s offer stands in the region of €50m-€55m, while United are seeking a fee of €65m plus bonuses.

United representatives have since returned to the UK following their talks with Giovanni Manna and his team on Tuesday, which has left the Partenopei scouting other options on the January market.
Reports earlier in the window claimed that Borussia Dortmund value Adeyemi in the region of €40m, which would make a deal easier to pull off, on financial terms at least.
While Sky Sport Italia report that Manna has been in contact with Adeyemi’s father to discuss a potential move to the Stadio Maradona, there could still be some complications given the sacking of head coach Nuri Sahin on Wednesday morning.
