According to Sky Sport, Napoli view Benfica midfielder Richard Ríos as a leading option to strengthen Antonio Conte’s midfield next season. Initial contacts have taken place, with no formal bid yet.
The Colombia international, 25, is in one of his best spells at the club, with two goals and two assists in his last three matches.
He is understood to be well regarded by sporting director Giovanni Manna and is among Conte’s preferred candidates.
Benfica invested 27 million euros in summer 2025 to sign Ríos from Palmeiras, acquiring his full rights and beating competition from Roma and Porto.
A regular under José Mourinho, Ríos has made 40 appearances this season, including 22 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 12 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça.
Across 3,200 minutes he has registered five goals and five assists, and he is valued at 22 million euros.
