Here is what went down.

Club América 0-1 Nashville

Nashville pulled off a famous result for the club and MLS as they went to Azteca and knocked out Club América.

The two sides came into the second leg in Mexico deadlocked on aggregate, with no goals scored as of yet.

But the all-important first goal of the tie was scored by Nashville superstar Hany Mukhtar, stunning the home crowd and giving the visitors an away goals cushion.

América pushed to find a way back into the tie, but the final pass was lacking throughout the evening.

With the win, Nashville made history becoming the first MLS team to ever leave the Azteca victorious.

With a historic result under their belt, Nashville will now await the winner of Tigres and Seattle in the semI-finals.

Cruz Azul 1-1 LAFC

LAFC thwarted any miraculous Cruz Azul comeback to book their passage to the semi-final.

MLS teams notoriously struggle when trying to finish off Champions Cup ties in Mexico, but despite an early Gabriel Fernández goal from the spot, Marc Dos Santos' side were relatively comfortable in seeing out the tie.

A stoppage-time Denis Bouanga spot-kick put the tie to bed and sparked a mass exodus in the Estadio Cuauhtémoc.

Son Heung-min and co. will now await the winner of Toluca and LA Galaxy, potentially setting up a riveting LA derby in the semi-final.
