Neom withdraw €35m Evann Guessand offer, Crystal Palace bid short of OGC Nice’s valuation | OneFootball

Evann Guessand (24) has been unkeen on a move to Saudi Arabia, despite advances from Neom SC. The Ivory Coast international wants to continue playing at the top level, in Europe, if he is to leave formative club OGC Nice, this summer, as is expected.

Neom SC’s offer for Guessand was substantial and, according to a report from L’Équipe, was worth €35m. However, the player was reticent and Nice have accepted this stance. As a result, Neom have now withdrawn their offer for the player.

There is also interest from Crystal Palace, who have also submitted an offer. That bid from the Premier League side was worth €20m, with only 10% of that fee paid in the first season. The value of the bid, as well as the payment terms, fall significantly short of Le Gym’s expectations.

Guessand, whose deal at Nice runs until 2028, is valued at over €30m. Neom will not return to the fore, it remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace will up their bid.
