Massimiliano Farris admits Inter Milan “should have won” against Parma this evening, but is insisting that there is “no drama.”
The Nerazzurri assistant coach spoke in a press conference after the match, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter Milan had an evening to forget against Parma.
The Nerazzurri had the chance to go six points clear at the top of the Serie A table.
And it seemed as though Inter were well on course to do just that. They had a two-goal lead when they headed in at halftime.
However, Inter collapsed in the second half, allowing Parma to score two goals in the space of just nine minutes after becoming far too passive.
After Parma equalized, Inter did start to push forward in attack once again.
However, by then it was too late. The Nerazzurri could not find the goal that would restore their advantage.

After the match, Inter Milan assistant coach Massimiliano Farris made clear that “we never want to leave points on the table.”
“But if it happens like it did today, then it happens. We’ll analuze it.”
“We can’t turn it into a drama,” said Farris.
“We’ve come out of much worse situations.”
“More than anything, the problem for us is having energy for this finale to the season,” the Inter assistant coach continued.
“The team has shown that it doesn’t want to leave anything on the table.”
“We, the staff and the coach, never want to give anything up,” Farris continued.
“We’re trying to get some players back available. Because we’ll need everyone for the final sprint, which will be brilliant. We want to get there with a lot of confidence.”
Meanwhile, Massimiliano Farris addressed the discrepancy between Inter’s first and second half performances against Parma.
“It’s a question of energy,” he said. “Mental, probably, as well as physical.”
The Inter assistant coach said that the team were “mindful of what happened against Udinese.”
“The message we wanted to send at the end of the first half, beyond a few tactical adjustments, was to warn the guys not to let Parma get back into it,” said Farris.
“Because they’re a team with quality. They have players they can bring on.”
The Nerazzurri assistant coach noted, “let’s not forget that we’re coming off the back of two demanding matches against physical teams.”
“Beyond the number of matches that we have to play,” he said. “Which we’re all well aware of.”
“We faced Udinese, who were very physical,” Farris noted. “And then mentally, we know what the derby entails.”
“Of course, there’s some regret. Because having gone 2-0 up, the team could have taken home the win.”
“But we’re still masters of our own destiny,” Farris made clear.
