Neuer ‘to replace’ Urbig for Bayern vs Gladbach remains uncertain | OneFootball

Uncertainty persists over Neuer’s fitness for Bayern’s home match with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday at 20:30 CET, Bild reports.

The goalkeeper went off at half-time in the 3-0 win over Werder Bremen on 14 February with a muscle fibre tear, then missed the games against Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.

He sat out training on Monday, was absent at the start of Tuesday’s session, then joined for about half an hour behind screens. On that basis, it is still unclear whether he will replace Jonas Urbig in goal.

Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Dayot Upamecano did not train with the group on Tuesday, completing gym work for load management and receiving physiotherapy.

Alphonso Davies, 10 days into recovery from a torn muscle fibre, did light ball work. Hiroki Ito has yet to resume on-pitch rehabilitation after a recent thigh injury.
