New Serie A club join Juventus in race to sign Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee | OneFootball

Juventus have been eyeing a move to sign Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee. 

However, they face competition from Como. They have joined the race for the 25-year-old, per journalist Fabrizio Romano. 

Como aim to bolster their frontline ahead of the new season and have identified Zirkzee as an ideal option. 

The Dutchman previously impressed in Serie A during his spell at Bologna between 2022 and 2024. 

He recorded 14 goals and nine assists in 58 appearances for the Red and Blues. 

However, Zirkzee has failed to replicate that form since making the switch to United in 2024. He has bagged nine goals and four assists in 75 games for the club. 

The centre-forward has started both pre-season games for the Red Devils, but they are open to selling him in the summer transfer window. 

Juventus are looking to sign a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, and have expressed an interest in Zirkzee. 

The 25-year-old is also prepared to join them, but Juventus prefer a loan move and United want a permanent transfer. 

If Zirkzee leaves this summer, United will enter the transfer market for a new striker. 

Benjamin Sesko enjoyed an impressive debut season and is first choice, but the club needs another option.
