When he returned to our Red Bulls in summer 2023 it was already taken, but now is the time for Alexander Schlager to wear the number 1 jersey for our boys.

The Austrian international goalkeeper has impressed during the last two years, making a total of 66 appearances for our Red Bulls and being a key player off the pitch in addition to making so many strong saves. The 29-year-old will now take the classic goalkeeping number.

We are looking forward to seeing Alex back on the pitch when he returns from injury. He is on board with our boys for the FIFA Club World Cup, but it remains to be seen whether he is fit enough to appear in the competition. You can find our complete Club World Cup squad here:
