Newcastle United are optimistic about receiving a fee in excess of £75m for Anthony Gordon this summer.
Gordon is keen to explore his options in the summer transfer window, with Newcastle set to miss out on European football.
Bayern Munich are interested in signing the 25-year-old and have reached a 'broad agreement' with Gordon on a transfer to the Bundesliga.
However, the German champions and Newcastle remain apart in their valuation of the winger, with journalistBen Jacobs reporting the gap as a 'gulf'. Despite that, Newcastle are confident that their valuation will be met.
The Magpies are seeking a fee in excess of £75m for Gordon, who also has admirers atArsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea. The volume of interest in the England international leaves Newcastle in a strong negotiating position.
Gordon has enjoyed the most productive campaign of his club career this season. He's scored 17 goals in 46 games across all competitions and has impressed particularly in Europe. The winger's 10 goals in theChampions League trail only Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane.
Gordon has made 152 appearances for Newcastle since arriving from Everton in a £40m deal in January 2023. His former club will be entitled to 15% of any profit made on that figure, after agreeing a sell-on clause at the time of the transfer.
