Milan Škriniar has become a backup at Paris Saint-Germain, with manager Luis Enrique preferring Willian Pacho and Marquinhos as his first-choice center-backs. This has led to talk that the experienced defender could leave the club soon.

Although Škriniar was linked with several teams over the summer, he chose to stay at PSG. However, a move now seems more likely with the January transfer window approaching. A return to Serie A, where he was very successful with Inter Milan, is a real possibility.

In November, Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reported that Škriniar had verbally agreed to join Juventus and that PSG and the Serie A side were discussing a transfer fee. However, there’s been no further news about this potential move.

More recently, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Škriniar and are seen as a serious contender for his signature.

L’Equipe reports that Škriniar is in talks with Galatasaray, but there is no agreement yet, despite claims from several Turkish sources that a deal has been reached. Several other clubs, including some in the Premier League, are also interested in him.

On Thursday, CaughtOffside reported, citing sources, that Škriniar will be available for around €35 million in January. The report also claimed that two Premier League clubs are trying to sign him. The report also claims that Newcastle are still considering Škriniar as a realistic signing for January.

CaughtOffside also mentions that Tottenham are interested. They see him as a good backup for Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. However, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou might have trouble getting the deal done because he reportedly sees Škriniar as a squad player, not a regular starter.
