Former Barcelona star Neymar Jr. has this week spoken out on the possibility of linking back up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez at club level.
Neymar is for his part currently plying his trade in the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal.
Throughout the Brazilian’s time in the Middle East, though, he has been linked with a potential move to Major League Soccer, with Inter Miami.
Any such transfer would see Neymar link up with four ex-Barcelona teammates, in Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez.
A reunion with the latter pair in particular would mark something of a dream come true for many a football fan, with Neymar, Messi and Suárez’s famed ‘MSN’ trident having represented one of the greatest attacking powers in the history of the game.
And, if the latest comments on the part of Neymar himself are anything to go by, then such a joining of forces cannot be ruled out.
Speaking during an interview with CNN, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday, the gifted winger explained:
“The reunion with Messi and Suárez would be incredible! They are my friends, we still speak to each other. It’d be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al-Hilal, but you never know in football.”
