Neymar could return to the Seleção at this summer's North American World Cup after more than two years away.

Globo Esporte reports that the Santos forward is on Carlo Ancelotti's provisional list. Brazil's record scorer has 128 caps and 79 goals, and his last appearance came on 17 October 2023 in a 0-2 defeat to Uruguay.

He rejoined Santos in January 2025 and has impressed, including in Sunday's 2-0 win over Bragantino.

Whether that form earns a final place is uncertain. Seeking balance with five midfielders and nine attackers, Ancelotti could again omit the 34-year-old.

Estevao, injured since mid-April, is not expected to feature. The Chelsea winger has reportedly been removed from the expanded list submitted to FIFA as staff do not expect him to recover in time. Brazil's final list will be unveiled on Monday 18 May.
