Neymar to start as Santos name squad for São Paulo clash with Coritiba | OneFootball

Santos have finalised preparations and named their squad for Sunday’s 16th-round Campeonato Brasileiro meeting with Coritiba at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo, with Neymar set to start. The delegation has already travelled to the capital and will remain in camp until kick-off.

According to Globo.com, midfielders Gabriel Menino and João Schmidt are out with muscle injuries to the back of the right thigh, and Zé Rafael also misses out.

Schmidt, recently a starter, is expected to give way to Willian Arão. Menino had only just returned from a thigh problem, featured briefly in the last match, then left on a stretcher in tears after renewed pain, with Neymar consoling him.

Luan Peres, who missed the last two games with a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left hand, has been training normally with a protective support and is likely to be included.

A probable Santos XI features Gabriel Brazão, Igor Vinícius, Adonis Frías, Lucas Veríssimo, Escobar, Willian Arão or Gustavo Henrique, Christian Oliva, Gabriel Bontempo, Barreal, Rollheiser and Neymar.
