Nico Gonzalez has been called up for international duty with Argentina for the upcoming November international break, despite missing the last seven Juventus matches through injury.
Nico Gonzalez is one of five Serie A players included in Lionel Scaloni’s latest Argentina squad, alongside Inter and Lazio strikers Lautaro Martinez and Taty Castellanos, Como’s Nico Paz, as well as Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes.
Nico Gonzales has not played for club or country since he limped off injured during Juventus’s 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League at the beginning of October.
He suffered a muscular injury, which has kept him out of action for the last seven matches across Serie A and the Champions League.
Though his inclusion is a show of faith from Scaloni, there will only be three days between Argentina’s second game of the international break, against Peru on November 20, and Juventus’s first game after domestic action resumes, against Milan on November 23.
IlBianconero suggest that Nico Gonzalez could be involved with the Juve squad for the Serie A match against Torino this weekend.
