Late last night, Real Madrid officially announced the return of Nico Paz to Como and that the two clubs had reached an agreement for the player to play for the Italian club next season.
His future has been a constant topic of discussion in recent weeks, especially after the club used their buy-back clause to bring him home and then put him back on the market for a higher price.
Como, who truly value him, came back in immediately and have now taken him back officially, although the agreement also specifies a clause for Real Madrid to sign him back next summer.
Taking to his official Instagram account recently, the young Argentine starlet finally made an official statement about his future and put an end to all speculation about his next step.

He began by stating how he had given long thought before making the final decision and why it was beneficial for all parties involved.
“After many weeks of reflection, I have decided that the best option for my career at this time is to stay at the club for another year, the club that gave me the opportunity to grow and become the player I am today,” he began with affection for Como.
Paz then elaborated on how it was the right step in his career at the moment, even more so than returning to Real Madrid and playing as a backup under Jose Mourinho.
“I personally believe this is the best decision for both Real Madrid and me, as it is a very important year at this stage of my career and a unique opportunity to continue growing as a footballer and prepare myself in the best way for the future.”

The entire saga that Real Madrid constructed around Nico Paz’s situation helped to significantly fill their coffers and extract a worthy compensation from the Serie A club for a world-class player.
Despite Como paying €60 million for his signing this time around, however, they still do not own 100% of his rights.
Real Madrid have not closed the door on a Paz return, and thus have maintained a buy-back clause on the midfielder valued at €80 million.
The clause, however, is said to be valid only for next summer, meaning that Real Madrid will have a massive decision to make next June once more.
