Sunderland are yet to make a formal offer for Djorjde Petrovic despite reports, with Aston Villa and Bournemouth keen on the goalkeeper according to The Times.
Chelsea have already made three signings this summer with Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro all through the door.
The Blues could look to add another attacker, whilst they are also in the market for a centre back to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad for next season.
Whilst incomings are important the Blues need to start making progress on outgoings, and as many as ten players could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Despite a brilliant season on loan at Strasbourg Petrovic falls into that category, which is surprising given the issues Chelsea have had between the sticks.

It’s believed Chelsea have an agreement with Petrovic that he can leave for £25m, and he’s got a number of suitors both in England and abroad.
It was reported on Wednesday Petrovic was close to completing a move to Premier League new boys Sunderland, but journalist Peter Rutzler has shared an update on the situation.
He took to X.com and said:
“Sunderland have made contact with Chelsea about Djordje Petrovic, who has a number of suitors.
“Told no formal offer yet. Aston Villa are also monitoring his situation while he is one of a number of options for Bournemouth. #cfc #afcb”
As things stand it appears Robert Sanchez will once again be number one, with it reported Chelsea are unlikely to sign another goalkeeper this summer.

The Blues had the chance to sign AC Milan keeper Mike Maignan, but weren’t prepared to get near the £20-£25m valuation, much to the frustration of supporters.
It’s believed Chelsea won’t return for Maignan this summer, but it’s not been entirely ruled out they could try and sign the France international on a free in 2026.
