Milan’s Santiago Gimenez is falling out of favour in the relationship with manager Sergio Conceicao.
According to a report by Daniele Longo, Santiago Gimenez could not find a resolution for his lack of playing time with head coach Sergio Conceicao during their meeting ahead of Milan’s Coppa Italia derby against Inter.
The Mexican international has been without a goal in the past two months and he has been dropped to the bench by Conceicao as Tammy Abraham looks to be in form.
Gimenez is Milan’s most important economic investment during the January transfer window and the player thinks that the Portuguese manager is doing little to help him recover his goalscoring form.
It is up to the player now to showcase his prowess in training and make his way into the starting line-up in the final phase of the Serie A season.
Gimenez has nine Serie A appearances, scoring twice and assisting once.
