Noah Sadiki says he has barely processed his rapid rise at Sunderland and has left his future open amid links to Liverpool and Manchester United.

“It is amazing to experience everything that is happening to me now. Everything went so fast: the transfer to England just after the title in Belgium, and then immediately a starter in England. I haven’t even had time to really realise what has happened since my departure from Union SG. I talk about Union in England; the English know who they are and couldn’t ignore the performances in the Champions League.” Sadiki was speaking to La Dernière Heure.

The 21-year-old joined from Union SG last summer after winning the Belgian title and has quickly become a key figure under Régis Le Bris. He has embodied Sunderland’s approach of signing high-upside young players from Europe and helping them adapt to Premier League football.

“My future? I still have two matches to play with Sunderland, then the World Cup, which will be very special for the Congolese people,” he added. “And as for the rest, we’ll see next season when the time is right.”

Sunderland have two Premier League games left, starting away to Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, then a final-day match with managerless Chelsea at the Stadium of Light the following weekend.
