Norberto Briasco extends Boca deal and joins Barracas Central on loan

Norberto Briasco has extended his Boca contract until December 2027, then joined Barracas Central on loan.

According to SuperDepor.com, the forward, 29, returned from Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata and trained with Boca, but was not in the club’s plans.

The switch is a free loan with no option to buy. He will link up with the squad coached by Rubén Darío Insúa, seeking regular minutes in the Liga Profesional.

The contract extension was for asset protection, aimed at preventing him becoming a free agent after the loan and leaving without compensation.

Briasco’s most recent spell was at Gimnasia, where he made 30 official appearances and scored one goal, short of the form he showed at Huracán that led to his 2021 move to Boca.
