Norwich City won 5-0 at West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns to rise from 22nd to 20th in the Championship.

In the 16th minute Oscar Schwartau fired the visitors ahead.

West Bromwich Albion threatened as Krystian Bielik headed wide from a corner (37.), and Samuel Iling-Junior struck the woodwork (45.).

After the restart substitute Anis Ben Slimane set up Ali Ahmed to double the lead (49.), and Vladan Kovacevic denied Iling-Junior with a smart stop (62.) as the Canaries stayed in control.

Slimane then swept in the third (69.), before Benjamin Chrisene's crisp finish made it four (73.).

Late on Mathias Kvistgaarden added a fifth from Papa Diallo's pass (89.).

West Bromwich Albion tallied 13 attempts and won 10 corners but found only two efforts on target. The Canaries registered seven shots on target from nine attempts.

West Bromwich Albion remain 19th. Next, West Bromwich Albion visit Derby. The Canaries host Coventry City next.
